Colt 1851 Navy Revolver

Here is my take on creating the Colt Navy Revolver from 1851. This weapon was issued to cavalry, artillery and was used extensively throughout the American Civil War by both the Union and Confederate forces. The 1851 remained in production until 1873 because of its popularity and use during the Civil War. The objective of this project was to develop a prop within a strict time frame of a week and manage my time efficently. The first three days were dedicated to modelling the prop in Maya, fourth and fifth days was UV unwrapping, baking and texturing. The final days were spent rendering and lighting the weapon inside of Marmoset Toolbag. I used Photoshop to add in the engravings that could be applied onto the prop in Substance Painter. The asset uses a 2048 by 2048 2k map and one texture set. Thanks for viewing.
